A New Speed Record - Hennessey Venom GT hits 270 mph - Breathtaking !!!!!!!!!

That’s right ladies and gentlemen; a small Texas tuning company has just beat out the Bugatti Veyron – and all of VW’s money – with a record-setting 270.49 mph.

This stunning achievement took place, appropriately enough, at the Kennedy Space Center on a runway that was built for the Space Shuttle to land on. But even the 3.3 miles of Shuttle landing strip wasn’t enough to get the most out of the Venom GT. 

Astonishingly, the Venom GT was still accelerating when test driver Brian Smith ran out of track.

After two years of organization and talks, Hennessey finally got on the strip and proved his claims, winding the Venom GT up to 270.49 mph in just 3.22 miles, besting Bugatti by 0.63 mph.

Amazingly, the outright speed might not actually be the most impressive thing about the Venom GT. Consider for a moment the acceleration. The entire run from 0 to 270 mph took less than a minute and 120 to 220 took less than ten seconds. That’s faster than plenty of production cars can make it to 60. Just watching the video makes your eyes bleed. Or maybe it’s my pinkeye … either way.

All of this insane speed is possible because of the Venom GT’s unique design. To build it, Hennessey’s team took a Lotus Exige and heavily modified the chassis. They then completely replaced the suspension and installed an engine more than three times the size of the standard one. The Venom GT’s 7.0-liter V8 began its life at GM, before being turned into a Frankenstienien monster. Thanks to twin turbos, and what I can only image is cheetah blood coolant, the engine puts down 1,244 fire-breathing horsepower. 

When you consider that the car weighs just 2,800 pounds those acceleration figures start making a bit more sense.


But even that isn't enough.

To qualify for the gold standard of world records you need to do a run in both directions, which Hennessey wasn’t allowed to do by NASA. Then you need to produce more than thirty cars. Hennessey has only made 11, and is only planning to build another 18. Still, when the Veyron SS set its records, neither direction was as fast as the speed set by the Venom GT.

What’s next for the Venom GT? Well apparently not more top speed tests, as Hennessey says it wants to focus on track times. I have no doubt that it will be a monster on the track, both in terms of times and because it will be trying its hardest to kill you.

The World's Most Expensive Quad - Lazareth Wazuma V8F

A small custom bike manufacture in France called Lazareth has created two beastly machines that can only be described as…(jaw drop and drool)! The Lazareth Wazuma V8F & Bio V12 quads are the equation of what happens when you combine the best of the sports car world and the quad world.But enough talk, lets look at these bad boys.

Now powered by a Ferrari V8 motor, the Lazareth Wazuma V8F boasts other fun items like its BMW M3 gearbox, with push-to-shift controls embedded into the four-wheeler’s handlebars.

Despite its four wheels, the Lazareth Wazuma V8F is more like a trike than a quad, and has been made so the rear-wheels are close together like road-going trike, and make one virtual über-wheel-of-death that has a contact patch larger than the hole Richard Nixon left in the American psyche after he stepped down from office. 

 
 

The V8F is just a beautiful machine all around. Utilizing the wazuma R1 body which only weighs a mere 1,433 lbs they swapped the R1 motor, for a 3 liter Ferrari V8, that pumps out an impressive 250 HP! Combine that with a  six-speed sequential gearbox from a BMW M3, EMC shocks, 18inc MOMO wheels, and Brembo brakes, and you have got your self one hell of a machine. Now the V8f isn’t cheap, it’ll set you back a cool $261,000, which is in the ball park of the Ferrai 458, but come-on just look at it!

When it comes to engine size, bigger is always better. The Bio V12 utilizes the a BMW v12 engine, that runs on E85 bio-ethanol, and produces an astonishing 500HP! Now don’t get too excited because to park one of these badboys in your garage you’re going to need $284,000.

The Unvieled Story of Felino cB7

Canada is fast becoming the home to a lot of start-up manufacturers. Maybe there’s
something to all that maple syrup?

For as many cars as Canada builds for Americans, its home-grown auto industry
hasn't been a player on the world stage for decades. If you want a true all-
Canadian car, there's some electric two-seaters or the Campagna T-Rex and that's
a-boot it. Here's the idea from Canadian racer Antoine Bessette to change that
perception: the Felino cB7, a V-8 powered, carbon-fiber sports car with an unusal
amount of aggression for a native of the north. Antoine describes Felino CB7 as
"purpose built for the track" that could also be street legal.

While Bessett hasn't released exact performance specs, the Felino should produce
ample speed from its GM-sourced 6.2-liter V-8, tuned to 525 hp and 489 lb.-ft. of
torque, linked to a six-speed gearbox. Aside from its unusal neo-hatchback shape
and styling, the Felino appears designed more for track time than street duty,
with unusual options like built-in race suit cooling systems.

If you’re wondering if Felino hastily prepared this vehicle by slapping on
components, dropping an engine, and drawing its design on a sheet of paper, you’d
be wrong. As a matter of fact, the company took four years to develop and build
the concept car using only the finest materials around. It’s a high-performance
vehicle that certainly looks the part, although the rear end leaves a lot to be
desired in my opinion.
The Felino CB7 was unveiled at the 2014 Montreal International Auto Show, and from
the looks of things, Felino built and developed a track racer that has the
potential to be talked about by a lot of people for a long time.Bessett says pre-
production versions will start rolling this year, with a limited but unspecified
number set for production.

2013 Sin R1 Super Car

Not a lot of people understand the hard work it takes to build a car, let alone one that develops 500 horsepower and hits 200 mph at the drop of a hat. But the people over at Sin Cars understand what it takes to hit these levels of performance. That’s why the company has succeeded in building a special supercar called the R1.

For what it’s worth, the R1 super car looks like one and performs like one too. It doesn’t boast of the most impressive design you’ll see, but it’s got the styling credentials to be looked at as a race-ready machine capable of throwing down with the best of them.

But that’s what makes the R1 impressive: it was made by young designers with plenty of experience in motorsport racing. The combined knowledge and understanding of the industry made this supercar what it is now and that’s a credit to the folks who worked hours on end to see this project through.

Determining the Rate - The most important aspects of financing !!

The interest rate you get when financing a new or used car can vary quite a bit from the advertised rates you see on TV or read in the paper. Probably the biggest influence on your rate is your credit rating (see How Credit Scores Work to get the full story). Your credit history and credit score tell lenders a lot about your money habits and are designed to give them an idea of what their risk is if they loan you money. They often raise the interest rate if your loan is seen as high-risk.

Super Excited 2013 MTT Y2K 420R

The 2013 MTT Y2K 420R in the 2013 year expected to have a whooping price tag of Rs. 1.06 crore! The machine will clock a top speed of 440 kmph.


If the reports are right, we can blindly believe that Marine Turbine Technologies, a US based turbine manufacturer, is working on an upgraded version of the Y2K Turbine Suberbike that debuted in 2000. The refreshed variant is proposed to be known as the 2013 MTT Y2K 420R.

World’s Fastest Bike Y2K with Helicopter Engine 

It has been sourced that the new 2013 MTT Y2K 420R is mated with a newly refined Rolls-Royce C-20B gas turbine engine, which is capable to fire out an authentic amount of 420bhp power. The bullet-machine, which is currently undergoing wind tunnel testing in UK, is expected to clock a top speed of around 273 mph (439.35 kmph).

When the motorcycle was launched in 2000, it wondered everyone with its strange and unique design, and unbelievable performance. The first version was equipped with a Rolls-Royce Allison Model 250 engine, which is commonly used in helicopters. Producing a sporty power of 320 bhp at 52,000 rpm, the superbike manipulated both the word 'speed' and track. The monster hardly needed only 5.4 seconds to accelerate from 0-200 mph (0-320 kmph). The top speed of the bike was 370 kmph.

What the secret behind the Y2K machine is that unlike the rest jet powered superbikes those use a massive jet engine provided thrust to run the motorcycle, the Y2K handles the turboshaft engine to drive the rear wheel via a two-speed gearbox. Additionally, the engines wedded in the Y2K bikes are not a new one, but they are used and have reached its FAA mandated running limit. These engines are rebuilt regardless with conditions. The turbine engine is usually filled by kerosene to have procurement. The bike can also use both diesel and jet fuel.

In 2008, MTT launched the second version of the Y2K namely, the Streetfighter. Equipped with a Rolls Royce-Allison turbine engine the bike produced a massive power of 320.00 HP @ 52000 RPM and a gorgeous torque of 576.30 Nm @ 2000 RPM. More impressively, the engine was belted with an automatic gear box which eases the driving at every circumstances. The top speed of the machine was 402 kmph. However, both these products failed to be successive production motorcycles in the market.

As of now, the American firm is working on its third generation 2013 MTT Y2K 420R, it is proposed to include carbonfibre wheels, carbonfibre full fairing, an aluminium alloy chassis, bigger brake discs with radial-mount calipers at the front, a 240-section rear tyre, more advanced electronics and ABS technology to enrich safety. 

Even though there is no official report regarding its price tag, it is echoed that it would hold an intolerable amount of $200000. Since the 2000 edition was priced $150000 and the 2008 edition was labelled $175000, we can expect pricing around those figures. The bike is expected to be on road by mid-2013. Unfortunately, the bike will be available only in US, UK and some chosen European markets.
